Single molecule nanoparticles of isotactic polypropylene on mica. Polymer chains of the order of 1 um in a length are folded in nanoparticles many times in a way similar to lamellar packing. The complex structure of nanoparticles is due to the existence of the crystalline core in the center and "amorphous" periphery of chain folds.
